The Office of Human Resources supports the university community in hiring needs, benefit implentation, compensation, labor relations, diversity and affirmative action, and training and development. The largest function of this office is supporting non-instructional staff, including bargained-for and non-bargained for employees. Materials in this collection reflect a small portion of the large scope of HR functions.

The Office of the President correspondence records are composed of correspondence and related materials from the Michigan State Normal College/Eastern Michigan University Office of the President. In particular, the records include the correspondence of presidents Charles McKenny, John Munson, James Brickley, and John Porter, from approximately 1912 through 1988.

The Peggy Liggit records include materials from Liggit's work in Academic Assessment and the Faculty Development Center from 2001 to 2014. The collection contains accreditation documents, assessment materials, workshop documents, program reviews, and other materials. This collection is useful to the study of university evaluations and support services.
